Information

The MacVitieMcSweeneys will be in Portugal from Sunday the 22nd of September and we cant wait to celebrate with all of you. 
 

We have a WhatsApp community group where we will be giving updates around plans, timings and locations, please feel free to join here.

We'll be staying in Portugal until Thursday 3rd October, so if anyone is hanging around after the wedding we would love to catch up for a beer or a bite.

We've have been busy organising some pre and post wedding events. Current plans as follows: 

 

Pre-Wedding:
Tuesday 24th of September - Sineads Portugese Hens party (the gents can babysit)

Wednesday 25th of September - Arrons Portugese Stag do (the ladies turn)

Thursday 26th of September (Morning / Afternoon) - Diving - We have organised a dive or two in the Algrave for a few underwater photos with Indigo Divers. If you have your Padi we would love for you to join us 'under da sea' 
Thursday 26th of September - Karaoke and drinks @ the La Bodeguita Sports Bar at the Bullring in the old town (very cheap pints and Karaoke optional)
Friday 27th of September - Beach afternoon and drinks in Albufeira Old Town here. 

Unfortunately we could not find a place big enough for dinner for everyone​.

Please DO NOT feel oblidged to come to all or any of the events.
We are just excited to have you at our wedding.

 

Wedding Day: Saturday 28th of September 

The wedding will be held at Praia do Castelo, the location is here.

Arrival at the wedding venue between 4.45pm - 5.15pm (Ceremony is at 5.30pm). With an end time of 2am (drinks will be flowing until this time).

Dress attire: Smart beachwear; shorts and thongs or flip flops (for the Brits) are completely fine, but no bikinis or swimwear please - the whole wedding will be on the

beach including food and the dance floor.

We have hired lifeguards so if you would like to swim please do! We just ask for you to wait until after the ceremony.

​

Small reminder that this is a child free wedding. Children are very welcome to join the activities before & after the wedding and as several friends and family do have kids in tow we are happy to connect everyone to look at group child care arrangements.

Uber & Bolt are used in Portugal and they are very cheap.
